Job Description: As a Plumbers Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced plumbers to learn and develop the skills needed for a successful career in plumbing. You will assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems while receiving hands-on training and mentorship. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field while working towards becoming a licensed plumber.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist journeyman plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Measure, cut, and install pipes, fixtures, and fittings.
- Assist with troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Help prepare job sites and transport materials and tools.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Communicate with clients in a professional manner and provide assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in plumbing.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and materials.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
- A strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced plumbers.
- Basic math skills and the ability to measure accurately.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- A valid driver's license is a plus.
