    Job Summary

  • The Medical Specialty Supervisor is accountable for ensuring that all services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner that enhances patient, staff, and physician satisfaction.

  • The supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of patient care, collaboration with the care team throughout the unit, onboarding and mentoring of new employees, managing day to day operations, enhancing quality measures, education, staff evaluations, and policy management specific to the departments of Medical Specialty Services.

  • The supervisor is guided by professional standards and will demonstrate effective leadership skills.

  • Job responsibilities may include other duties as assigned by leadership.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.

  • 2 years of previous supervisor/management experience in healthcare is preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience is required.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • BLS/ALS/PALS are all required.

  • Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibility.

  • Assumes responsibility for professional development.

    Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

  • Mostly 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • May include some nights and weekends
