Avera Aberdeen ICU is currently seeking a Supervisor-Registered Nurses (RN) -Unit looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

    Job Summary

  • The ICU Inpatient RN supervisor is accountable for ensuring that all services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner that enhances patient, staff, and physician satisfaction.

  • The RN supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of patient care, collaboration with the care team throughout the unit, onboarding and mentoring of new employees, managing day to day operations, enhancing quality measures, education, and policy management specific to the ICU.

  • The Nurse Supervisor is guided by professional nursing standards and will demonstrate effective leadership skills.

  • Job responsibilities may include other duties as assigned by leadership.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience required.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

  • Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) required.

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) required.

  • Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibility.

  • Assumes responsibility for professional development.

    Work Schedule

  • 7:00am-5:30pm - 4 days per week; 80hrs/2wks
