Weatherford have an excellent opportunity for a Field Operations Supervisor (LWD) to join our team. This role is currently based in Aberdeen.
The LWD Coordinator/Supervisor is the focal point and responsible for the planning, organization, leadership, and management of MLWD field operations with the main objective of this role is to ensure the delivery of consistent and superior service, safety, quality, and technical support and effectiveness required to exceed expectations of our customers, while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs.

Key responsibilities:
Lead team of LWD/MWD field engineers.
Coordinate field engineer job assignments for maximum job coverage and efficiency.
Supervise field engineers’ job performance and correct any deficiencies as needed.
Evaluate LWD/MWD data collected from field on daily basis and distribute as needed.
Review and ensure timely submission of Final EOWR and MLWD Logs to client.
Review and evaluate field engineers’ career development and progress.
Execute the comprehensive training program for field engineers.
Lead and motivate employees to work to the best of their ability.
Create an environment of accountability and delegate within the team to enhance the role of every team member.
Ensure procedures are followed to verify proper operation of all equipment, either in the shop or on the rig site.
Prioritise maintenance schedules to ensure maximum utilization of available equipment.
Maintain an accurate tool run history and tool performance history. Interface with Repair & Maintenance and Field Personnel to ensure maximum tool reliability.
Ensure complete compliance with all government agencies.
Prepare monthly report on current job activity, special projects, tool performance summary.
Review field engineers on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance of all safety rules.
Ensure that the LWD/MWD incident reporting process is communicated, understood, and implemented.
Assist with tool failure analysis, identifying lessons learned and implementing on future work with a view to continuous improvement and increased service quality.
Communicate regularly and effectively with Client base and attend Client Meetings as required.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Customer activity plans and local market conditions to help forecast activity trends and assist in preparation of strategy and business plans.
Assist in defining budgetary requirements based on customer activity plans.
Assist in revenue recognition through appropriate field paperwork and job tracking.
Accountable for meeting the Country Area Financial goals through optimizing utilisation of equipment and personnel as well as managing cost control.
Always demonstrate effective Safety leadership to enhance the organisations commitment to safety performance and ensure that Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment policies are adhered to.
Requirements:
REQUIRED
5+ years of experience in a service company environment in operations and/or business management and professional qualification in related field.
Thorough knowledge of Drilling Systems, Products and Services.
Excellent communication, organisation, troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation
A problem solver based on experience.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Understanding of Computer application within the proposed job environment
Ability to generate concise reports
Ability to resolve human resource problems/issues at local level
Self Sufficient, ability to work under demanding conditions.
Works as part of a team and comfortable working with diverse individuals and cultures.
Secures respect through sector knowledge.
Excellent written and oral communicator.
Excellent leadership skills.
Amicable nature and will lead by example.
PREFERRED
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Earth Sciences or equivalent experience.
Previous field coordinating experience is an asset.
Minimum of 5 years LWD/MWD Drilling experience in an oilfield operations environment.
Well developed communication skills across product lines and at management level.
