OUR IMPACT

The Global Markets Division enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed income, equity, currency and commodity products. In addition, we make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis. Fixed income, currency and commodities teams transact in a variety of assets, including interest rate products (such as government bonds, treasury bills and other highly liquid instruments), credit products, mortgages, currencies and commodities. FICC Sales people are required to understand macro oriented markets while developing a technical expertise in a wide range of derivative products.

This sales role within eFICC is one for an entrepreneurial individual who can identify emerging trends and react quickly to sudden events and new opportunities. Success in this role requires a broad, comprehensive approach in understanding clients’ needs, streamlining the client experience and leveraging data to optimize the desk revenue. With the firms’ increasing focus on a digital strategy, this role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the firm.

This position includes direct daily interaction with clients, voice sales people, traders, management and supporting or partnering business lines.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Covering eFICC clients to help them meet their business objectives, deepen the client relationship and grow market share

  • Understanding of electronic workflows and knowledge of macro products

  • Prospecting new client opportunities and on boarding users to electronic channels

  • Advising clients on the optimal methods of executing electronic transactions

  • Ability to drive yield optimisation

  • Monitoring reports and updating internal stakeholders with pertinent information related to client accounts

  • Pre- and post-trade co-ordination with other teams on trade/booking related issues, confirms, setting up pricing calculators for tailored transactions

  • Demos of the Marquee platform and its functionality to clients

    Basic Qualifications;

  • Highly motivated self-starter

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills essential

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential

  • Creative thinking and strong focus on problem solving

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interest in financial markets and in derivatives specifically

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or finance

  • Strong technical background, data analytic skill

  • Native Japanese
