Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. Continuous Improvement Coordinator in 101 Edgewood Avenue, Virginia

Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Coordinator position impacts our entire Projects Division by continuously seeking out opportunities to improve processes to increase efficiency and profitability, while maintaining a positive culture of improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct time studies and analysis of processes in the office and field

  • Identify, plan and lead projects that improve operational efficiency

  • Project ROI on projects and track savings monthly

  • Work closely with leadership, office and field staff to implement process improvements

  • Define best practices and document through Standardized Work or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Train partners on new processes and monitor progress of project turnover

  • Identify software to improve and streamline workflow in the field and office

  • Lead meetings and provide continuous communication regarding changes and improvements that will impact the team

  • Utilize books, webinars, benchmarking companies, consultants, etc. to increase the team's knowledge of Lean principles and best practices

  • Develop and implement visual controls, scoreboards, and KPIs to monitor the status of business operations and improvements

  • Train and empower others to use continuous improvement topics and methodologies.

  • Help promote a culture of continuous improvement and respect for people through all activities and responsibilities

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management preferred

  • Process improvement and Standard Operating Procedures creation experience a plus

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first mindset

  • Desire to learn and grow

  • Great sense of humor
